ABOUT HOME HEALTHCARE

How can I get a nurse to come see my family member?

To begin home health services ATC will need an order from your medical provider. Please contact your physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant and ask to for a referral for home health service to Around The Clock.

Does my insurance cover the services/will I owe any money?

Most medical insurances cover the cost of home health, but we recommend you contact your insurance provider to confirm coverage prior to the start of care. ATC's billing department can also review insurance coverage limits, if needed.

Do you have nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists on staff?

Around The Clock has the largest home health therapy department in Bakersfield. Our therapy group consists of physical therapists (PT), occupational therapists (OT) and speech therapists (ST). Our nursing department consists of registered nurses (RN), licensed vocational nurses (LVN), wound specialty nurses (WCC and Wound & Ostomy Specialist), as well as home health aides (HHA) to care for you or your family. Our team is also supported by a registered dietician (RD) to assist with medical dietary needs and medical social worker (MSW) that can assist with coordinating community resources to assist at home.

ABOUT COMPANION CARE

Is the minimum number of hours per day or week that is required?

Around The Clock has many different programs and can provide as minimal as one hour a day up to 24/ 7 in-home care. Minimum number of hours would depend on the program and location of services.

Does insurance cover the cost of care in the home?

Around The Clock Companion Care services are paid with private funds with the exception of long term care policy and/or workers compensation insurance.

Is a deposit required to start services?

Around The Clock does not require a deposit to start care.

Do I need my doctor’s approval to start service?

Around The Clock Companion Care does not require a doctor order or recommendation to start services. Our qualified Companion Care team will come to your home prior to the start of services to assess your current care needs and develop a plan of care tailored to your needs.

ABOUT SENIOR CARE PLACEMENT

What type of facilities do you work with for Placement?

Around The Clock Senior Care Placement can assist you in finding senior housing in independent living, small 6 bed homes, assisted living, or memory care. 

What if I have a specific budget per month?

Around The Clock Senior Care Placement will meet with you to review your current financial situation and will assist you with finding the right location that fits within your budget. If your current financial situation is limited, we will assist you with community resources to help provide options.

Do I need a doctor’s permission to move into a facility?

Depending on the type of location you choose, a physician report (602 form required by CA Licensure) must be completed by your physician prior to being accepted into a facility. Around The Clock Senior Care Placement will assist you in obtaining the required physician report.  

ABOUT REPRESENTATIVE PAYEE

Is there a service fee?

The current monthly service fee is $54.00. It increases holidays per Social Security instruction and regulation.

How do I sign up for service?

You can obtain an application in person from the Representative Payee lobby during business hours or have one mailed or emailed to you. Once you have completed and returned the application, our professional staff will process the intake and send it to Social Security. After the application is in Social Security’s processing queue it takes 30-60 days until KATCF is named as the representative payee and begins managing your funds.

What are your office hours?

Monday-Friday 9:00am-3:00pm (closed on all major holidays).
