For many years, nursing homes have been
the standard method of care for the aging population. Assisted
Living presents an affordable alternative to the nursing home
setting with some important differences. While the nursing
home model is based solely on meeting the physical needs of
its residents, ours was designed as a social model, one that
meets the psychological needs of clients (including independence
and privacy), as well as one to meet the physical concerns.
